Songbird Roots began long before it had a name. Before I was born, my mother started children's singing groups that introduced young performers to the joy of music, movement, and the stage. I grew up participating in those groups, and through them I discovered my own love for singing, dancing, and performing.
Over the years, my mom nurtured those musical roots in me, and eventually she passed the baton on to me. When it came time to continue her legacy, I chose the name Songbird Roots as a tribute to the foundation she planted in my life and to the roots I now hope to plant in the lives of my students.
Music has been a lifelong passion of mine. I have studied voice for most of my life and am proficient in violin, guitar, piano and ukulele. I performed in a bluegrass band during college and have appeared in numerous musical productions, including roles such as Ariel and a lead fairy in local theater productions.

My mission is to open the musical door for every child who comes to our program. While students will learn vocal technique, rhythm, harmonies and performance skills, I hope they gain something even more valuable: confidence, friendship, teamwork, and the courage to share their unique gifts with others.
I want Songbird Roots to be a place where children can experience the joy of music without the pressure of comparison. Every voice is different, every child learns at their own pace, and every student brings something unique to the group. My goal is to foster a culture of encouragement, where students cheer each other on, build one another up, and gain confidence in who they are as performers and individuals.
Every child has something special to offer. One of the greatest joys of my work is watching those little roots take hold—seeing students grow in confidence, discover their talents, build lasting friendships, and blossom both on and off the stage.
